.......huh

I figured that I would just start this blog just to shed light on other sites and blogs who keep crate diggin alive.. I came to realize there are those who not only build their own crates, but crates that goes far beyond vinyl..... in the age of the cyber I feel anything is possible.... thanks to those who post many albums, rare 45's, etc.. I may have something you don't have.. U may have something I don't have....... that's why I decided to put together this blog........ at the moment it may seem like Im just typing random shit... it's 5:49 and Im drunk sitting on my steps typing on my sidekick............ about to digg in my crates in a minute.. let me stop rambling on with the bullshit........... this blog is basically a listing of all sites and blogs I have saved to my favorites.... I'll share my favorites with you....... as you may peep, I type in broken english and phrases... either drunk or sober I say fuck it.... as long as you understand where Im coming from........................................................back to what I was saying.. this blog is in dedication to those who take the time to rip vinyl to MP3s... honestly, u don't have to do that shit at all... you don't have to give a fuck about spending hours upon hours selecting records to post for the public to grab... you don't have to do that shit, but you do......... honestly I leeched so much shit and I can only be right by giving props to those who spen their time preserving a culture.... those who posted various LPls, 45's etc, opened me up to more than I expected...... as a younin I would go to record stores, hit a few sections that I never checked out before, and digg... I still support the record store for this puropse alone: VINYL WILL NEVER DIE OUT!!! I encourage all of you to do the same... now days my vinyl collection is matched with what I found on the net....... even tho I have a few more downloads than records, the situation encourages me to digg more and find more spots to buy records... my homie put me on to a spot havivg a record auction.. when I have more info I'll post it... some of yall may wonder why I sent messages or e-mails....... it's just for purposes of showing appreciation... to those who aren't familiar to those sites and blogs now is the chance...... I wouldn't feature bullshit on a blog like this... one love to all who ripped vinyl to MP3... and look out for a few rips of my own in the next few months.... P.E.A.C.E.... blackFlame the brothaWize

.......instrumentals & shit

Spliff Huxtable
ok!!! this site doesnt just focus on instrumentals, they bring you news as well as the lastest underground cuts... online since 2003, this is my idea of a well rounded site.. check out the "album review" section for an earful... you can also check out the mixtape section but dont forget about the "who's next" for insight on the newest producers on the scene.. usually the content posted have a 30 day window so visitors are encouraged to get it while yall can.... aint that some shit... lol
a note to producers: you can submit your tracks to be featured on SpliffHuxtable by emailing props@spliffhuxtable.com

.......something from the UK

this section is highlighting blogs and sites from the UK... how is it they appreciate "our" music more than we do in the USA.... some of yall may be offended by the statement. Im not generalizing our population, however, there is a large percentage that know nothing of "our" own music.... im going to update this post so keep tuned for link updates
Soul Doubt

.......straight from France

FunkyTonight

Milk Crate Breaks Milk Crate Breaks offer a wide range of Soul, Funk, Jazz & Blues for the masses.. An excellent display or rare jewels and hard to find goodies, this site not only brings the music but also get in depth with an artist bio, which reminds me more of linear notes than anything.... you will be more than happy with what you can find; whether you are looking for something to sample or just to search for good quality music.. this site has it
Funky 16 Corners what can I say... I found this site in the link section of Milk Crate Breaks.. the posts go on and on 'till the break of dawn. alot of classic 45's are featured here with a long list of insight.. started in November of '04, by Larry Grogan, this site is one of my favorites......... by the way check out and support The Funky 16 Radio Podcast
Timeless Club (english version)I discovered Timeless Club a few weeks back looking for a few soul mp3s.. what I found was one of the illest collections to my knowledge.. this site is based out of Barcelona Spain and once i got passed the language barrier and clicked for the english version, I was amazed.. one thing that drew me to the site is the fact that i have a few LP's on Dj. Zulu's Timeless Groove Top 15.. be prepared to find classic Funk, Soul, Jazz, Jazz/ Fusion, Latin, Brazilian, Disco/ Boogie, Soundtracks as well as Hip Hop... Timeless Club also offers radio shows live 24-7

.......it's HERE

I would like to welcome yall to the new blog... the idea behind it came from a few posts on my other blog.. from the days of vinyl comes a new era.. this era is now what I call the MP3 era.. lost classics are now re-surfacing for us to experience... there are those who spend countless hours and dollars to keep the legacy of black music alive and well.. this is a platform for all who share to give insight to a music once forgotten.... we once had our drums taken from us so we replaced those drums with various western and eastern instruments to continue to express our powerful souls.... where do we turn to when that vinyl is no longer preserved?
